Jeff Kaufman

Senior Vice President - Development

As Senior Vice President – Development at EDENS, Jeff Kaufman focuses on long-term value creation through innovative mixed/multi-use properties in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Since joining EDENS in 2008, Kaufman has guided many of its marquee developments. Notably, he is an integral member of the team that oversees the revitalization of Washington D.C.’s historic Union Market. The Market, at the heart of a renewed urban district, rapidly became one of the District’s premier culinary destinations, and is currently expanding into music, retail, hotel and residential uses.

He was instrumental in the development of Mosaic, a 1.9 million square foot mixed-use project in Merrifield, VA. Kaufman also oversees the redevelopments of existing shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic region including Arlington Ridge and Van Dorn Plaza, contributing to the revival of D.C.’s neighboring communities.

Previously, Kaufman was Vice President of Bozzuto Development Company, overseeing development and acquisition activities for multi-family residential projects in the greater Washington-Baltimore area. He spent five years as an architect working on high-profile projects including Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio, and Fairfax Corner in Fairfax, Va.

Kaufman received a Master of Architecture degree from Catholic University, a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History from Emory University.
